High Waisted Jeans are just what you need this fall. In today’s post, we give you 3 complete looks you’ll LOVE!

in my fav high waisted jeans!
Can you say it with me … “HALLELUJAH, for the return of HIGH WAISTS!” For all of us who aren’t teenagers and have been pregnant, high waisted jeans are an answer to our prayers. I actually really like the lo-rise style but if you have ANY sort of a tummy bump (I mean ANY) then they do us no favors. High waisted jeans, on the other hand, hold us in quite nicely and also take away the frightful muffin-top. Isn’t life grand!
Getting ready for fall in the season of mom jeans is a time to get excited. Here are three looks for you to bring into your closet and then take out into the world. Have fun!

Look 1: Polished Casual
The first look is something you can wear to work or for a day out changing the world. The puffy sleeve blouse is really what sets the tone for this look.
Notice the straight cut raw hem of the high waisted jeans. Having it looser on the bottom is a lot more flattering than skinny jeans! What I love is that the denim is distressed without holes and rips so it’s look is more refined in contrast.
I included two pairs of loafers. One is perfect and classic. The other has a gum sole that will give a little more grace for our poor tired feet.
Look 2: High waisted jeans in white (gasp!)
This look reminds me of NYC. The women I love to watch (I’m a HUGE people watcher, not in a creepy way), are both stylish AND practical. That’s this look to perfection.
First, let’s break some rules. My mother always said that white pants can only be worn between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Honestly, I still try to uphold this rule but fashion today says otherwise. White denim is okay any time of year … as long as it’s paired right.
The oversized sweater, calf-hair belt, and saddle brown hobo bag work it in the best sort of way. Pair them with the practical, “I have places to go!” Hi Star Platform Sneaker sneaks from Golden Goose and it’s a total WIN!
Sneakers as a fashion statement make my heart sing!!
Look 3: high waisted jeans get chill
Hats … if you see any pics of me at all then you know I love my hats! That’s really the start to this outfit. A wool fedora to me just tells me that the person is confident, introspective, and relaxed. Now, is this always the case? No, but that’s what I see.
The look is very casual and understated. It might not be the best choice for work but if you’re heading out on the road for a weekend of exploring then it’s just right.
Honestly, I was going to put a low pair of mules with this look. They would go really well. But when I saw these wedge slides I couldn’t help myself. If you haven’t tried wedges, they are the MOST comfortable of the heel styles. So you get the height, the internal presence that comes when wearing heels (it’s a girl thing), without having to walk on stilts!
Quick note, if you don’t have an oversized men’s styled shirt in your closet, then get one. You can even steal one from your male friend depending on the collar. They work as shown here, as bathing suit coverups, as bathrobes, as tunics, and work great with belts or tied in a knot.
Do you want more?
This was such fun! I actually have more outfit ideas but have to watch the time and get on to my next project. If you want me to put more looks together for inspiration (or downright copying … I don’t mind) then let me know!
With three daughters who are VERY style-conscious, this keeps me on my toes so we have something to talk about. lol.

Have a fabulous week! Namaste,

I love all the looks! So my style and it make me really ready for fall.
Thanks, Christy! It’s a blend of some things that are trendy and some that are just ME! So glad to see that you enjoyed the pics 😊
Love all the looks….well, maybe not white jeans after Labor Day…old habits die hard. 🙂 Love the polish and charm of each look!
Honestly, I don’t wear white jeans after Labor Day either. My mother ingrained that into my head well. However, winter white … Today, however, I feel like we’re in the minority!
