AMERICA CELEBRATIONS

There’s almost nothing as a community that fills my heart more than when we all come together to celebrate a National Holiday! Seeing everyone out for a parade in their RED, WHITE & BLUE just warms the heart through and through.

That’s part of the reason this website is “American” School of Charm. Bringing people together as a society can have a great affect on our outlook when we do it with respect and tolerance. That’s as close to political as I’ll get!

In fact, my three daughters were raised in Cedarburg, WI. Our 4th of July parade was the celebration feature of Toby Keith’s “Made in America” video. You can watch it below. The parade clips are toward the end BUT it’s worth watching the entire video. It’s amazing to be in a country where we can celebrate independence and free thought! (Yes, we were at the parade but must have hit the editing floor!)

With this spirit in mind, our theme this month is America! Stars and stripes, celebrations, blue berry treats, and lots of DIY spirit wear to display your love of handcrafts and America.

The America Banner is two-sided and is trimmed with bias to really make all of the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE pop out loud. In the picture above, it’s paired with a pom-pom garland. We’ll also show it later in the month with a “Made In” banner to really highlight our love of America and handcrafts.

making it happen

My new motto for 2021 is “making it ourselves!” I forecast a year of change, hard work, forgiveness, and letting the ones you love be free to ... as we all must eventually, make it ourselves! Above all, it’s a year to let go of all the negativity that has built up in 2020 and look to appreciate the blessings we’re given (even if it’s hard), and return to the love that’s inside all of us. It’s time to heal, forgive, and strengthen our most important bonds.
