Coming together with friends, family, and countrymen (country-people) to honor America, our freedoms, our accomplishments, and our military just feels right. It almost feels like we’re doing good simply by recognizing all the great aspects of our country. Something that should be obvious yet I’m always overcome by the emotions of a national holiday community celebration.
The following post contains 20 projects I’ve personally selected for you. They are all FREE tutorials you can make or adapt to bring your festivities to life in full American pride. If you make one, definitely post it on Instagram and tag me so I can enjoy your job well done.
Signs to show your love of america
Large and bold graphic statements are a sure fire way to set the tone of your holiday. The following signs definitely will let your family and guests know that you are proud to be living in this amazing country!

The next two projects are on the smaller side, which makes them great to go inside or out! I love how the second one sets the stage for the entire mantel display. Changing out the decor on a mantel is one of my favorite ways to bring seasonality into the home!

Table Runners
As much as I love the formality of a full table cloth, I’m also super practical and I want to be able to wipe down where people eat. Maybe my family is just messy or I’m obsessive (later is probably right). That’s why I love table runners. They give character to your table scape without the bulk and hard-to-clean aspect of a full table cloth.
The first three require absolutely NO SEWING, which makes them great projects. They’re so easy that you can do them with children without having to worry about the quality of the final project. WIN-WIN!

Patriotic Burlap Table Runner from Domestically Speaking LINK
This last one is a sewing project. What I love about this is that it can become a family heirloom. Then, every time one of your family or friends see it they’ll think of you and how much you LOVE to celebrate America and our great country.

THrow Pillows
Yes, pillows are kind of my thing. I love making them and decorating with them. The best part is that if you make the covers removable, then you can have a seasonal and holiday rotation to keep your decor looking fresh.
The four selections below are COMPLETELY different from one another, which is fun. Even though they’re on totally opposite design spectrums, the theme pulls them together so you can use them in the same room as long as you work the colors right!

Quilts & Ground Cover
There’s something that I’ve learned in writing this post, there is a need for a quick and (relatively) easy American blanket or ground cover. All of those that I’m featuring are really great looking but they aren’t quick projects.
Guess I need to add that to my to-do list!! That said, if you want to take on a faster project, jump down to the fourth one as it will be the best to do in a weekend.
Regardless, all of these are modern and super patriotic. LOVE them all, in fact, I want to make each and every one of them. Maybe we should just start with one!

Door Decorations
One of my LOVES is walking around our village and looking at the various ways the residents dress up their storefronts and household entrances. Curb appeal makes such a difference and can be a HUGE way to infuse the American spirit into your home.
The best part about the first three projects is that they’re all fast to make and full of the red-white-and-blue without going overboard!

DIY Farmhouse American Flag Wreath from The American Patriette LINK
DIY Americana Wreath from At Home with Jemma LINK
This last one is more involved BUT it also can be used anywhere inside or out. You can change up the text for your own taste and keep it for years to come, ready to pull out whenever a bit of Americana is needed in your life.
